Healthy Turkey Chili

This healthy turkey chili is a go-to for me and my boyfriend. It’s so yummy!


Ingredients:

• 1 pound of ground turkey (99% fat-free)

  • 1 15 oz can of black beans, undrained

  • 1 15 oz can of corn, drained

  • 1/2 white onion

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon oregano

  • 1 tablespoon dried chives

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes

  • 16 oz chicken broth

  • ¼ cup of low fat shredded cheddar

  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

  • 1/2 avocado


Recipe:

  1. Add olive oil to the pan

  2. Add in the turkey, chopped onion, and garlic. Wait until turkey is browned (165 degrees)

  3. Add the seasonings: chili powder, oregano, chives

  4. Add in beans, corn, and tomatoes. Top with salt and pepper

  5. Add in the chicken broth

  6. Let set for 10 minutes on medium heat

  7. Pour into bowls, top with cilantro, cheddar cheese, and avocado

  8. Enjoy!
