Turkey and Pesto Hawaiian Roll Sliders

nourishedbymads

So, I whipped up these Turkey and Pesto Hawaiian Roll Sliders for a snack during game night, and they were a total touchdown! Picture this: tender slices of turkey layered on sweet and soft Hawaiian rolls, smeared with a generous dollop of basil pesto. The combination of savory turkey and zesty pesto created a flavor explosion in every bite. And let's not forget the melty provolone cheese on top, perfectly melted and oozing with goodness. It was like a mini flavor party in my mouth! Plus, the sweetness from the Hawaiian rolls added an extra layer of yum. I already can't wait to make them again for the next game night. Trust me, they're a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients: (Serves 2)

  • 8 Hawaiian rolls

  • 10 slices of deli sliced turkey breast

  • 3 slices of sharp cheddar cheese (white or yellow cheese both work)

  • 2 slices of red onion

  • 2 tablespoons pesto sauce

  • For the butter sauce on top:

    • 2 tablespoons melted butter

    • 1 tablespoon honey

    • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

    • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley

    • Salt + pepper

Recipe:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Slice your Hawaiian rolls longways down the middle. Remove the top of the bread. To the bottom slices of bread, add on your turkey, cheese, and red onion. Spread pesto sauce on the top slices of bread. Place the top slice back on top.

  3. Make your butter mixture: add in your melted butter, honey, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Spread this butter mixture on top of your bread.

  4. Place the sandwich onto a well-sprayed pan. Pop into the oven for 15 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
